Is your pup due for a closet clean-out? Did they outgrow their harness before it even arrived? We all have some back-up to the back-up leashes that probably won't be put to use.

Our Second Tracks Exchange program is designed to give those unused items a new life! Every item we buy back helps keeps gear out of landfills or from collecting dust in our homes.

Get started in just 3 easy steps!

Step 1: Grab your gear and make sure it meets the following requirements.

  • Items must be clean (please wash/spot clean/lint roll items before returning; do not spray with fragrance)

  • Items must be complete as it was manufactured with all components in full workable conditions (ie., straps, buckles, zippers)

  • Items cannot be altered in any way

  • Items cannot have extreme visible wear (ie., unthreading, rips in fabric, stains, delamination, etc.)

  • Wilderdog items we accept & store credit amounts - 

    • Jackets: $5

    • Sleeping Bag w/ stuff sack: $7

    • Leashes: $5-$7

    • Harnesses: $5

    • Backpacks: $7

    • Utility Packs: $5

    • Mega Hip Packs: $6

    • Duffels: $5

Step 2: Mail in your items.

Step 3: Receive store credit via e-Gift Card for every item that is accepted.

What is Second Tracks?

 

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we do! However, some Second Tracks items (blankets, sleeping bags) are not available for international purchase due increased shipping costs. 

Can I return or exchange Second Tracks items?

No, all Second Tracks items are final sale and cannot be returned for a full refund or exchange. We will, however, buy them back through our Second Tracks Exchange.

What if the size or item is not available?

Because the Second Tracks items are used and returned gear, not all sizes and items will always be available. If you don't want to wait or you'd like to pick out your dog's favorite color, head on over to the rest of our site to make your selection!

Are Second Tracks items covered by the Lifetime Warranty?

Of course! We honor our warranty policy on all our products, just be sure the item qualifies. You can review the policy here.

How does Second Tracks Exchange work?

Gather all those extra or outgrown accessories you and your pup don't use anymore and give them a thorough inspection and clean. Once your items are good to go, head to the portal to initiate the process and send in your items. When your items arrive back at the warehouse, our team will inspect them and you'll receive an email once we're done! You will receive an e-Gift Card with your store credit for items that are accepted. Any items deemed ineligible will be donated or responsibly recycled and will not be returned to you. 

Be sure to get a tracking number when shipping back your items! Wilderdog is not responsible for items lost in transit back to the warehouse. 

What items can I send back for credit?

We only accept Wilderdog gear, but it can be discontinued items, designs, or colors too!

  • Leashes (Ultralight, Waterproof, Small Carabiner, Quick Clip, Slip Lead, Big Carabiner (5ft & 10ft), & Long Lead)

Please take note that although blankets can be purchased on Second Tracks, we do not accept these items for trade-in/exchange.

Is there a limit to how much credit I can receive?

Nope! We'll buy back as much as you send us, just make sure the items all qualify.

What happens if my exchange is not accepted?

If you send us trade-in items that are broken, dirty or otherwise ineligible, we can’t return them to you. You will not receive credit and we’ll donate or responsibly recycle those items. Please read the guidelines carefully to determine whether or not your items are eligible. Our team's evaluation of the condition of the items is up to our discretion. If you wouldn't want to buy a broken, stinky or dirty item, don't send one back in that condition!

How do I know if my items are accepted or not?

Once your items are evaluated and inspected, you will receive an email. We'll either send you your store credits or an explanation of why your items were not accepted.
