Because Wilderdog leashes are made of climbing rope and carabiners, there are an infinite number of ways to use your leash to make it work best for you and your pack.

Traffic Handle

Requires: One 5' Big Carabiner Leash

Traffic handles are perfect for when you want to keep your dog close to you - in crowded areas, around other dogs, wherever you need to limit their roaming.

To make a traffic handle, start by doubling up the rope by clipping the original handle to the carabiner. Grab the middle section of the rope and tie in a new handle loop with an overhand knot. Alternately, if you'd like to keep the original handle, you can tie in a new handle loop wherever you'd like.

Coupler Leash

Requires: One 10' Big Carabiner Leash + one extra carabiner

Walking two dogs with one leash has never been easier.

To make a coupler, start by clipping the extra carabiner to the original handle of the leash. Double up the leash so that the carabiners are equally distanced, and tie in a new handle with an overhand knot.

Hands-Free Leash

Requires: One 10' Big Carabiner Leash + one extra carabiner

Make a hands-free leash to clip to your waist while running or hiking.

To make a hands-free leash, start by clipping the extra carabiner to the original handle of the leash. Wrap the handle-end of the rope around your waist to find the most comfortable fit, and then create a small loop with the rope with an overhand knot. Clip the handle-end carabiner to the new loop you've just created to fit around your waist.

Nice Walker Harness

Requires: One 5' Carabiner Leash

Nice walker harnesses are great for walking less-than-great walkers - the leash keeps dogs in line a bit better with a halter-like harness.

To train your dragon of a dog with a nice walker harness, start by clipping the handle to the carabiner to create a loop. Clip the carabiner to the dog, make sure the clip is on his chest, and his head is through the rope.

Off-leash Easy Access

Requires: One 5' Carabiner Leash

Everyone loves off-leash dog areas, but you always want to have your leash easily accesible to clip them back up in case of danger.

Clip the handle to the carabiner to create a loop and sling over your shoulder.

There is no need to remove any of the original knots, and you can always revert whichever method you try back to a regular leash. Do you use your Wilderdog leash in another way we haven't listed? Let us know! info@wilderdog.com.
